This is an entry-level position for persons interested in working in the art field

Possible Available Hours:
Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday- 12 noon to 5 pm, and  Sunday- 12 noon to 4 pm

Paid training will be provided 
 

Duties:
Open and close the gallery according to set procedures
Take payments via cash, check, and Square
Keep and enter accurate records for artist disbursement etc
Answer the phone and take messages
Keep the gallery spaces neat and tidy
Communicate with gallery artists as needed
Develop a good working knowledge of the art and artists in the gallery
Welcome visitors and provide professional service to visitors, clients, and artists
Talk to potential artists about joining the gallery

Qualifications:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Computer-literate

Bookkeeping experience a plus
Good basic math and record-keeping skills
Customer service and retail experience preferred
Art background preferred but not necessary
Retirees welcome
