Paper Portraits Workshop with CVG Artist Christina Bertucchi
Date: Saturday, September 16th, 1 to 3:30 pm
$50 workshop fee per person
Registration via Eventbrite: here

In this workshop, we will make Paper Portraits using layers of cut paper to show shape, value, and space. Faces can be one of the hardest subjects to capture for an artist. This hands-on lesson will help you break down and simplify the subject to make portraits easier to render. Feel free to bring in a photo reference to create a self-portrait or a portrait of some one you care about. I will also have other references available.
All are welcome, age recommendation is 13 and up. No prior art experience is needed. We will be using X-acto knives and glue to create our portraits.

Painting Rocks and Shells with Gouache
Workshop with CVG Artist Christina Bertucchi
Saturday, October 14th, 1 to 3:30 pm
$50 workshop fee per person
Registration via Eventbrite: here

Living in the PNW, we collect interesting rocks and shells on our local shores on a regular basis. We are naturally drawn to the shapes, textures, and the hidden colors within these objects. Now you can learn how to capture that beauty in a gouache painting!
We will create scientific illustrations from direct observation. Gouache is a very forgiving and flexible medium. It has all the benefits of acrylic and watercolor combined.
