John Stege

"These sculptures are abstract representations of the world around me, both the material world and the world of ideas. I use welded steel because I am familiar with that material.  My favorite subjects are science fiction, imaginary friends, and political economy." 

John Stege lives in Port Orchard, Washington.  He was raised in the tract homes and trailer parks of the American West, and has worked as a field hand, cook, house painter, mechanic, draftsman, and engineer.
