Underground in August: Faces of the Creative Community

This August, the CVG Underground transforms into an interactive celebration of portraiture, creativity, and connection. Led by artist Andrew Nuth, this month's exhibition explores portraiture in many forms—from traditional drawing and painting to photography and mixed media. The show features portraits of fellow creatives alongside artwork by many of the people Andrew has met and photographed throughout the local arts community, creating a unique dialogue between artist and subject.

Visitors are invited to do more than simply view the exhibition. During First Friday on August 7, the Underground will come alive with live figure drawing and an active photo studio, giving artists, photographers, models, and curious newcomers an opportunity to participate. Whether you're interested in sketching, stepping in front of the camera, or simply watching the creative process unfold, everyone is welcome.

The photo studio will also be open on Saturdays throughout August, offering additional opportunities to participate and become part of this evolving community project.
