This August, Collective Visions Gallery is proud to present Inspiration, a bold and thoughtful solo exhibition by featured artist Andrew Nuth. With a focus on the stories behind the work, Inspiration invites viewers to explore abstract art through a deeply human lens—one that connects creativity, mental health, and personal growth.
Working in both sculpture and painting, Andrew challenges traditional expectations of beauty and technique. His abstract pieces often incorporate found and weathered materials—objects that carry visible histories, imperfections, and character. By highlighting the flaws and damage in these elements, Andrew reframes them as sources of meaning and strength, mirroring the complexities of lived experience.
Based in University Place, Washington, Andrew draws from a wide-ranging background that includes photography, manual labor, finance, and parenting. His multidisciplinary perspective brings depth and authenticity to his art. Through Inspiration, he encourages others to see creativity as an essential and accessible part of being human. “Art is for everyone,” he says. “The desire to create is something we all share.”
Adding to the richness of the experience, the opening reception will feature live music by Padua Canty, a Tacoma-based violist who performs with Northwest Sinfonietta, Symphony Tacoma, Yakima Symphony, and other regional ensembles. Padua also teaches Suzuki Viola and Violin to students throughout the Tacoma area.
Join us in August to explore Inspiration—a show that celebrates not just the art, but the impulse behind it. Come for the conversation, the textures, the unexpected materials—and leave inspired to create something of your own.
Opening night, Bremerton First Friday Artwalk
