Collective Visions Gallery is pleased to welcome watercolor and mixed-media artist Rachel Faye Frank as one of our newest gallery members.

Rachel has worked with watercolor since 2007, drawn to the medium for its dynamic and forgiving nature. Her work combines delicate, intricate line work with loose washes of color, negative space and unexpected materials, creating pieces that move between careful control and spontaneous expression.

Hands and elements of the natural world frequently find their way into Rachel’s work, alongside organic forms and painstakingly rendered lines. Her current series grew from an interest in challenging the negative spaces surrounding those detailed forms and experimenting with the relationships between line, color and material.

For Rachel, the resulting work often expresses something that is difficult to capture in words. She describes the pieces as feeling closer to music or sound—something experienced intuitively rather than explained through a specific narrative.

Rachel’s work has previously been shown in locations across the United States and internationally, from Washington and Colorado to Italy, Australia and India. We’re delighted to now have her work here in Bremerton and to welcome her to the Collective Visions Gallery community.
